Very good experience, tried specials with Carolina ripper wings and nachos. Loved it. Inside and outside sitting(with cushioned seats). Enjoyed a nice time there. Visit 2: winter- as always crowded yet faster service. Never disappointed, orderes seafood special with draft beer..again nailed it..just to be safer side reach early or keep some spare time for waiting..

We have tried JD's once a year since it opened to see how it's progressing. The waitstaff is pleasant and the atmosphere is typical sports tavern. Went again last night and I ordered the Jambalaya and my wife ordered the lobster roll. Both were way too salty and the lobster roll was more similar to a seafood salad. Given that they are close, we would love for them to be better, but it will likely be another year before we try.

The wings! There is other food , but the wings is definitely why I go. Call me crazy, but they are worth it. Great environment and staff as well. Definitely worth a visit and a few returns.

The grilled chicken wings is _the_ reason why one should eat at JD Tavern. Both the boneless and regular options are awesome, with a good choice of sauces/flavors. The drinks were good as well. The "jumbo" shrimp was nowhere near jumbo -- is the only thing we weren't pleased with. Overall, this place stands out among all the other run of the mill bar food places around the triangle.

We dropped in for a quick bite and totally forgot about it being a football Sunday. The place was packed. But we quickly found a table. Our waitress was very friendly, and made good recommendations. Our food came out fast and hot. We didn't expect such friendly service, and good food. Nice work staff!

Awesome place to watch sports. We came in on a Saturday night and it was packed but we were seated within 2 minutes. The grilled wings are awesome! I've had them multiple times and they are probably the most tender wings I've ever had.

Amazing food! Ask for Abby. She was awesome and very attentive. The wings are the best I ever had. EVER!! They also appreciate sports fans and will change channels where you sit for games that have your favorite team. Awesome place.

The grilled wings are very good. Lots of meat and not short on sauce or flavor. The environment was part for the course; exactly what you would expect from a pub environment. The wait staff was friendly, but nothing that was outstanding. If you want good food and it's late, JD's is your place.

The food was good and the waiter friendly. It's got music where you enjoy yourself while eating. It's a bar but i would come back. The JD Cuban was delicious.

Get the Brussels sprouts appetizer! Delicious. Perfect spot to catch a game, drink a beer, and eat good food.

Come on Sunday and watch the NFL, I won a free appetizer. The food is delicious, wings were the best I've eaten. The manager adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Excellent food, great selection of beers, staff is very friendly and attentive, and Anthony the bar manager makes sure everybody is having a good time and gets to see their favorite teams play during the game's. If you want football games at 1 they have free giveaways during the first half and I was amazed it seemed they were giving something away every other commercial. Highly recommend.

JD's is our favorite place to hang out! TV to watch, great staff (it's a bonus for me that the staff can express themselves aesthetically. Shows an open minded manager that will pull a diverse clientele in), great food, amazing atmosphere, and everything about here is perfect. I've never had a bad time at this JD's. Will continue coming here for years.

JD's is always a great place to go. They have food until 2am, something that's tough to find in the area. They play great music, a fine selection of beers, wines, and ciders, and everyone is super helpful and polite. Always a good choice.

Went here thinking it was a restaurant with a bar, now thinking it’s more so a bar with a restaurant. The food was ok, but nothing you can’t find better somewhere else. The featured beer flight sounded good on the menu, but some of the beers were not tasty.

I'm updating my review because I didn't say anything a year ago! This is a place that you can bring your family for some sports and good food during regular hours. Don't be surprised if it gets a bit loud during the big games... That's what makes it fun. The food is above average for a bar and grill. The food is always evolving and the menu is rarely the same when I visit, except for the favorites of course. JD's never closes before 2, as some places in Apex do when they're slow even when they advertise 2am. Everyone that works here is beautiful inside and out and the management does a 11/10 job. If you pop in late night, especially on the weekends, be ready for a party. It's a good time.

The hands down best wings around. A true local’s bar. The kinda place where they know your name and Your Drink of choice. Where you’re treated well and made to feel like somebody. JD’s Tavern is so good I drove all the way from Charleston, SC to have my birthday dinner there last September. Anthony and John have been so good to my family and me for a few years now. Thanks for being such a great place to hang out and well done creating such a great culture in there.

JD's is the prime example of a down home local bar and grille. The food is AMAZING! The beer is always cold. They have a good rotation going for their drafts. Try the Chicken Strips and get them Dave's Way- you won't be disappointed. The Asian Dumplings are amazing! I wish they would bring back the pork street tacos tho :/

Beautiful (and dog friendly) patio, great beer menu and cocktails. Wide variety of food, and everything I've had is good! Burgers, salads, sandwiches, fajitas, pasta, even a banh mi sandwich. Patio has umbrellas and chairs with cushions, plus it's in the shade in the evening. Honey gives it 4/5 bones. Her complaint is that they wouldn't serve her a steak, but besides that she approves.

A group of us get together every month and we never know how many there will be. The manager and staff always accommodate us adding tables as needed. They are very friendly and helpful, treating us very well. Plus they have a variety of beers and food that is well prepared and tasty.
